A half-day art workshop for kids and young adults, including those whose parents/grandparents are originally from West Bengal, India, and Bangladesh. This workshop will help participants understand the geography, myths and folk practices of Bengal and help them realize the importance of rivers and water to the residents of this region. We'll learn about the rivers of Bangladesh spanning the area from the Sundarbans to the Himalayas. Participants will make artwork on the day and Shehzad Chowdhury will make a composite image from all the work created by participants.
