Children can have great fun and delight in making soft animal sculptures which also help them to develop their intellect and imagination as well as sewing skills. Cloth is easy to work with and requires practically no tools other than a pair of scissors, needle and thread. Cloth animals have a basic simplicity and charm, which sets them apart from other manufactured toys as they carry human warmth in them. Even though most hand sewn cloth animals lack sophistication and realism but they capture the spirit of the particular animal.
