This experiential, invitation-only workshop will employ storytelling techniques to engage in a cross-cultural conversation on food ways and food cultures through the lens of gender, racial, ethnic and/or national identities. Participants will share and learn the principles and techniques of facilitating and holding space for sharing stories as a forum for community/civic engagement and social change. This workshop is open to the invited attendees only. Advance preparation isn’t expected, unless our facilitator Ms. Nelson-Haynes provides directions otherwise.

Light refreshments will be provided. If convenient, we encourage you to bring something to share given the topic for the event, but it’s not necessary.
