This beginner-friendly course introduces participants to the history, materials, and basic techniques of South Asian miniature painting. Through demonstrations, hands-on exercises, and guided practice, participants will learn the fundamentals of this centuries-old tradition while creating their own small-scale works. No prior art experience is required.
This workshop will run for four weeks on the following dates: November 5th, 12th, 19th, and concluding on December 3rd. The recurring time slot is 5:30-8:30 PM.
Materials provided: Wasli, burnishers, squirrel made brushes
Materials you will need to bring: 4H and 2H pencils, Box cutter, sandpaper to sharpen pencils, erasers(kneaded erasers preferred), watercolour brushes-size (variable sizes)
