This Month’s Poet is Tamiko Beyer

She will be giving a reading and leading us through a writing workshop where poets will have the opportunity to generate and share new work.

Tamiko Beyer is a poet, writer, and spell-maker. Her books include Last Days and We Come Elemental, and she is a co-editor of Poetry As Spellcasting: Poems, Essays, And Prompts For Manifesting Liberation And Reclaiming Power with Destiny Hemphill and Lisbeth White. A social justice communications writer and strategist, she spends her days writing truth to power. She lives with her human, feline, and plant family on the edge of the Wissahickon.

Tamiko Beyer will give a reading and lead us through a generative writing workshop from 7pm-8:30pm on Thursday, September 24th, 2026 at 12Gates, located at 106 N 2nd St.

Doors open at 6:30pm and close promptly at 7pm.
